As a way to enter the new year with new focus, we are embarking on a 21-day journey starting January 8. We are going to increase our appetite for God’s presence during this time. Often we determine what we want to do, then we invite God to come along to bless our premeditated path. However, the purpose behind 21 days of prayer and fasting is to lean in and listen to God’s voice and direction for our year. 

The Foursquare Movement has prepared a specific prayer focus for each of the 21 days.

GrowPoint January Worship Night – January 14 | 6pm

Halfway through our our 21 Day of Prayer + Fasting, join us for a special night of worship together as a church on January 14th at 6:00pm. Childcare will not be provided for this evening.

Active Members Roof Meeting

The official, active membership of GrowPoint – Amherst Foursquare Church is gathering for a meeting on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the church sanctuary. This special meeting for the active members of GrowPoint is to discuss the finances for the Flat Roof Replacement Project. Please plan to be in attendance at this in-person meeting. This meeting will not be live-streamed.

Who’s excited and ready for 2023?! We will take everything we gained and learned from 2022 and move forward into the new year! As a way to enter the new year, with new focus, we are embarking on a 21-day journey starting January 9. We are going to increase our appetite for God’s presence during this time. GrowPoint January Prayer Nights

GrowPoint is adding one more layer to the 21 days for prayer & fasting; we are encouraging you to block out January 11, 18 & 25 and join in-person for collective prayer! These Wednesday night gatherings start at 6:30pm, and they will be aligned with Foursquare’s focus for that particular week. *Childcare will be unavailable for these gatherings, so start now with other arrangements, OR bring the whole family!

With a hefty measure of humble confidence, we encourage you to start this year craving and longing for God’s presence and to hear Him speak over 2023! We want to posture ourselves with a hungry heart, and a humble mind, with confidence and anticipation that God will answer! GrowPoint, let’s start this year right, and let’s start it right, together!

Uphold Marriage Discipleship

We are beyond excited about our upcoming Uphold Marriage Discipleship Event! Honestly, this one is more like a retreat than just an event.  We are confident that March 18-19, 2022 will be marked with laughter, ah-hah moments, and of course, delicious food! 

Our marriages will be refined and strengthened through guest speakers, Gary and Tammy Dunahoo! These two have been best friends and ministry partners throughout their 35 years of marriage. They have two adult children, four grandchildren and enjoy life with their family, playing golf and taking in sunsets at the beach.

Gary is an Executive Coach who helps individuals and organizations thrive. For over 40 years, he has worked in nonprofit settings, corporate structures, government agencies, and faith-based communities, walking alongside people as they become authors of a new story and changemakers of their own experience. 

Tammy has served as Vice President and General Supervisor of The Foursquare Church. Tammy’s passion is sponsoring the next generation and multiplying healthy leaders and churches throughout the United States. Tammy is currently serving as Foursquare’s Director of Leader Health and Development.

Without question, Gary and Tammy are accomplished and highly educated leaders, and we are thankful for the marital insight they will bring to our Uphold Marriage Discipleship Event. Engaged or married, this event is for you! This weekend will be full of revelation as we discover how the Gospel reflects and transforms marriage.

On Friday, we will be providing appetizers and desserts; and on Saturday, we will be having an amazing brunch at 10:00am. GrowLine Group Facilitator Invitation

GrowLine is designed for Followers of Jesus to grow in every way of life. Ephesians 4:15 says, “Speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Jesus Christ.” As a GrowLine Group Facilitator, we will be obeying the command of Jesus to disciple people by walking our groups through three stages of growing:

Being with Jesus
Growing with Jesus
Sent with Jesus.

Here are some details about being a GrowLine Group Facilitator.

We ask that you fill out the attached form (see the button below) that will include all of your preferences for your group, and submit it to us by Sunday, August 1.

  • You will not be alone in this journey. Pastor Lesli will be your coach and walk with you. We are all in this together!
  • Also, we will be having a GrowLine Group Facilitator in-person meeting on Sunday, September 12 at 6 pm at GrowPoint, where we will thoroughly walk through….
    • What to expect
    • Share about how to lead a GrowLine Group
    • How to utilize technologies for the teaching videos, etc.
    • Follow-up and staying connected with your group during the week, etc.
When is GrowLine?

GrowLine starts on the week of Sunday, September 19 and continues for the next 6 consecutive weeks. Your group will meet for a total of 6 gatherings. You have the flexibility to choose which day of the week and what time you would like to meet with your group.

Where will GrowLine take place?

We are encouraging GrowLine groups to meet in individual homes. This could be your home or at a designated host home. We have found that the atmosphere in a personal home provides for increased relational connection and feels less like a “church service.”

Who is GrowLine for?

GrowLine is for anyone desiring to grow in their relationship with Jesus in a small group atmosphere. Our large Sunday celebrations are awesome, but small groups work best for conversation, encouragement, accountability, and personal growth.  

Our desire is for our groups to remain small. This allows us to share our lives with others while discipling through the scope of relationship. Our desire is for our women’s groups to be led by women, men’s groups led by men, and co-ed groups led by male and female teams. We will be providing you with a list of people to contact and invite to join your group. We are so excited that this list includes new guests from the beginning of 2020 who now call GrowPoint home! We will send you the list of people on August 3 and ask that you reach out to and invite them to your group by August 15. 

What is expected of me as a GrowLine Group Facilitator?
  • As the group facilitator, you will set the tone and flow of each gathering so that it’s meaningful and worthwhile. However, your gatherings should not exceed 2 hours long.
  • Each week you will receive a Weekly Agenda that will help you prepare for your group gathering:
    • Simply reading through the weekly agenda to be prepared to facilitate the discussion times.
    • Be prepared to show the teaching video that will be provided through the GrowLine YouTube Channel or the GrowLine Group Facilitator’s website. There will be times to pause the video for group discussion.
      • For in-person gatherings, you can use YouTube on your smart TV; just search for the GrowLine YouTube channel.
      • For video conferencing gatherings, you can use the GrowLine Group Facilitator website; just share your screen with the group online.
  • Communicate weekly with your group via texting, phone calls, emails, etc. This is a vital component to relational discipleship.
    • Initiate a text thread for your specific group to allow dialog of daily devos and be a source of encouragement with each other.
  • All GrowLine Facilitators are requested to be at the training on Sunday, September 12 from 6-8pm.
