We live as dual citizens — physically rooted in a world that often reflects Babylon’s pride and self-sufficiency, yet spiritually belonging to the Kingdom of Heaven. In the tension between these two realities, we discover the heart of God: He does not abandon us in our brokenness. Instead, He comes down to cover us, protect us, and lead us out — inviting us to live heaven-shaped lives while still walking on earth.
Weekly prompts for your family to engage at home.
Discuss what humility looks like in everyday choices. Ask: “Where might we be trying to make a name for ourselves instead of trusting God?”
Identify one rhythm or safe place your family can intentionally use this week (meal, prayer, rest, Scripture). Ask: “How does turning to God protect us in our daily life?”
Talk about a time someone made a mistake and how you responded. Compare it to how God responds with mercy. Ask: “How can we show mercy like God does?”
Share an age-appropriate example of insecurity or shame and talk about how God provides a covering where we can’t cover ourselves. Ask: “When have you tried to hide instead of trusting God?”
Practice: The Tower Check
Ask God to reveal where you’re building your own tower—and practice surrender instead.
