Jesus had been busy — performing miracles, healing people, and calling His disciples — but did anyone really understand who He truly was? The disciples were about to find out one night on the Sea of Galilee. A fierce storm blew up while Jesus was asleep in the boat. Terrified, the disciples woke Him — and with just three words, “Peace, be still,” Jesus calmed the wind and waves. In that moment, the disciples realized Jesus was far greater than they had ever imagined.
This Sunday, we each got into our own “boats,” naming our fears and worries and declaring, “Jesus, we trust You.” Act out this story together as a family, then talk about what “storms” each of you might be facing right now. Open your Bible and find verses — God’s words — that bring peace to those fears and remind your family that Jesus is always in control.
