Main Idea:
Just like seeds grow best in good soil, God’s Word grows best in a heart that listens and obeys Him.
🧾 What You’ll Need: One blank sheet of paper per person; Pencil or crayons/markers; (Optional) Glue and small seeds or dry beans
✂️ What to Do:
Fold your paper into four equal sections. Label each section:
Path
Rocky Ground
Thorns
Good Soil
In each section, draw or glue one seed. Around the seed, draw or describe what kind of soil it’s in:
Path – hard, birds flying above
Rocky Ground – a few rocks and shallow dirt
Thorns – weeds or prickly plants
Good Soil – rich dirt, sunshine, and sprouts growing
Talk together as a family:
What might happen to the seed in each kind of soil?
Which soil do you think grows something healthy?
How can we keep our hearts soft and ready for God’s Word?
What are some things that keep God’s Word from growing in us (like “rocks” or “thorns”)?
