Ezekiel 37 contains one of the Bible’s most powerful visions: Ezekiel sees a valley filled with dry bones. As a prophet like Isaiah and Jeremiah, Ezekiel’s message to the people was twofold: God’s judgment had come upon Israel, but the Good News was that God would deliver them from their enemies, and a new world was on the horizon. This passage echoes the Good News of the Gospel, pointing to Jesus’ coming to save the world from sin and the Holy Spirit breathing new life into all who place their trust in God. While this vision can be challenging for younger children, I encourage you to watch the video together and discuss how we are spiritually dead in our sins, but alive when Jesus enters our hearts. As Easter approaches, it’s a great opportunity to deepen these conversations with your children, helping them understand what it means to be saved and the abundant life that comes from following Jesus.
