This week, we continue our study of the Lights of Christmas by learning about the Wise Men. God provided a star to guide them as they followed its light to find Jesus, who was now about two years old and living with His parents in Bethlehem. The star was the light that led them to Jesus—and Jesus would grow to become the true Light of the world, bringing peace, joy, and love to all people. As a family, talk about the different things people often follow in hopes of finding peace, joy, and love. Some examples might include popularity, fashion, being the class clown, sports performance, success, or fitting in. God gave us Jesus so that we wouldn’t chase after things that only bring fake or temporary happiness. Instead, God invites us to follow Jesus in every part of our lives. When we follow Him, we receive a lasting light—one that brings true joy, real peace, and deep love that only comes from Jesus.
Family Prayer:
Pray together and ask God to help your family follow Jesus above all else. Thank Him for the joy, peace, and love He gives, and ask Him to guide your hearts to always choose His light.
