The Babylon Protocol

September 20 – November 1

Babylon didn’t persecute Daniel. It promoted him.

That’s what makes this book so unsettling, and so useful. The pressure Daniel faced wasn’t a threat to destroy him — it was an invitation to belong. A new name. A seat at the king’s table. A career in the empire. Assimilation is rarely announced. It’s offered.

We live under the same offer. The culture around us has opinions about who you are, what you’re worth, and what’s worth wanting, and it rarely argues; it just assumes. The Babylon Protocol is a six-week playbook for 2026: how to stay connected to your heavenly citizenship while living, working and serving in a place that isn’t home.

Daniel shows us it’s possible to be fully engaged and entirely uncompromised. He learned Babylon’s language without losing Zion’s. He served the king without bowing to him. He didn’t start praying when the lions showed up — he was already in the habit.

Building on New DNA, this series draws the lines before the pressure arrives.

Family Table Talk

Weekly Practice

Take one visible, relational risk this week that clearly identifies you with Christ — even if it costs comfort, approval, or convenience.

Not confrontation. Not argument. Identification.

How-To:

  1. Ask: “Where is my faith currently invisible?”
  2. Choose one visible action:
    • Pray before a meal in a public setting
    • Decline participation in something that violates conscience — kindly and clearly
    • Acknowledge your faith naturally in a conversation where you usually stay quiet
    • Choose integrity where cutting corners is normal
  3. Do not explain excessively
  4. Trust God with the response
  5. Pray afterward: “Jesus, I stood with You. Thank You for standing with me.”
