In 2018, God put a clear vision on our hearts: if we wanted to reach Lorain County, we needed to start with the next generation. Because most people who choose to follow Jesus do so before age 18, our heart became simple: we want to see a world where every child has a church—a place where they are known, loved, and belong.

What began with sponsoring Christmas parties through the Boys & Girls Club grew into something much deeper in December 2021 at Stevan Dohanos Elementary in South Lorain. We felt a immediate connection to the school, the kids, and the neighborhood, sensing God calling us to be consistently present. Soon after, GrowPoint officially adopted the school. Over years of weekly volunteering, serving teachers, and supporting families, South Lorain stopped being just a place where we served—it became a community we deeply loved.

As relationships flourished, our vision expanded. These children didn’t just need volunteers for special events—they needed a church of their own.
In August 2025, GrowPoint South Lorain officially launched. But church here looks a little different—it happens around the table. We gather for meals, build safe relationships, laugh together, and share the hope of Jesus. Sometimes ministry is a sermon; often, it’s simply pulling up a chair so every child knows they have a place.
God connects every step of our story, and He is just getting started. There are more tables to fill, more families to love, and a whole generation waiting to know Jesus.
