Warmer weather is finally here, and we are kicking off an incredible season at GrowStudents! Summer is one of our absolute favorite times of the year because it gives us a chance to slow down, build deeper relationships, and have a ton of fun together.
We have a packed calendar full of exciting events, off-site hangouts, and life-changing moments. Check out all the details below so you and your student don’t miss a thing!
SUMMER THEME: MADE FOR MORE
On Sunday nights, we are diving into a brand-new series called “Made for More.” In a world where it’s easy to get caught up in who culture tells us we should be, this summer is all about discovering our true identity and purpose in Christ. We’ll talk about how we were created for more than what this world has to offer, keeping our eyes fixed on our eternal home. Our hope is to challenge students to live with a higher Kingdom perspective right now, grounding their true identity in Christ.
SCHOOL’S OUT PARTY
Let’s kick off the best season of the year with a bang! We are celebrating the end of the school year, firing up the grill, and throwing an epic party to officially welcome our incoming 6th graders to the GrowStudents family. This is the perfect night to bring a friend, eat some great food, and celebrate the start of summer together!
- When: Sunday, June 7th | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- The Vibe: Classic backyard cookout with burgers, hot dogs, music, and great company.
- What to Wear/Bring: We are going all out with some serious water games, so please make sure you come dressed to get soaked and bring a towel!

PARTY IN THE PARK
GrowPoint Fam, it’s time to kick back, hang out, and enjoy some summer fun together! We are gathering for a Party in the Park on Sunday, June 28th at 6:00 PM at Mill Hollow. This event is open to all families, so bring the whole crew! We’ll have plenty of food, awesome games, and great company.
We will not have our regular GrowStudents gathering this evening. Instead, our students are joining the rest of the GrowPoint fam for this massive night of fun!
Mark your calendars, bring a lawn chair, and we’ll see you at the park!
SUMMER NIGHTS
Once a month, we are packing up and taking GrowStudents outdoors for Summer Night gatherings! These off-site hangouts are the absolute best way for 6th–12th graders to unwind, connect, and enjoy the summer season. For each event, students will meet us directly at a different local spot to hang out, connect, and play games before we break off into our smaller huddles for a sunset devotional time. You won’t want to miss a single one!
Have your student meet us at the following locations from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM:
- June 19th @ Maude Neiding Park: Grab your hammocks and friends! We’ll be transforming the park into a massive game zone with competitive volleyball, football, and plenty of space to just hang out before we dive into our group devos.
- July 24th @ Mill Hollow: Think epic outdoor yard games, exploring, and relaxing around the beautiful reservation scenery. It’s the ultimate mid-summer hangout followed by a powerful time of diving into the Word together.
- August 21st @ Vermilion Beach: We are wrapping up the summer season in style! Come ready for sand volleyball, beach games, and a perfect sunset view as we gather on the beach for group devotionals.
GROWSTUDENTS SUMMER CAMP
The countdown is officially on! We are headed back to Miracle Camp in Lawton, MI from August 3rd – August 6th for what is easily the best week of the summer. We can’t wait to see our students build lifelong friendships, experience high-energy activities, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
The regular cost for camp is $265, but you can secure an Early Bird rate of $250 if you register by July 3rd (final registration closes July 17th). We also believe that financial constraints should never keep a student from experiencing camp. Thanks to the generosity of our GrowPoint family, limited partial scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis for regular attenders who apply by June 5th.
