THE ARK

Main Idea: God is my safe place! 1,000 years after God created the earth, it seemed that everyone had forgotten about Him and just did their own thing. God found one righteous man – Noah and He instructed Noah to build an ark – even though there was no rain in sight. Noah’s obedience led to the ark being a RESCUE SHIP for Noah and his family. What is one safe place that God givbes us when life seems overwhelming?

Weekly Challenge

Kids were taught to build their own personal ark through the use of breath prayers. We used phrases from Psalm 91:1,2 to choose a short phrase to recite as we breathed in (ex. God you are…) then a phrase as we breathed out (my safe place). Take time to practice breath prayers this week to help your child have spritual tools when life seems overwhelming.
