PRAYER INTO ACTION

JEREMIAH 29:12

Discuss

This Sunday in GrowKids, we put prayer into action! Kids rotated through different Prayer Stations where they didn’t just pray—they also completed hands-on activities that helped reinforce the prayers they were praying. Our hope is that this experience helps launch your family into making prayer a regular rhythm, whether at mealtimes, during car rides, or through intentional moments throughout the day. Parents, you are the greatest influencers in your children’s spiritual journey, and this season is such an important window as their faith is being formed. We’d love to hear how your new family prayer rhythms are going—let us know!

Weekly Challenge

This week make a Family Prayer Chain that you can continue to add to during your Family Prayer times. Family Prayer Chain Instructions. Each person gets one strip of paper. You can use construction paper, scrapbook paper, or plain paper—any color works! Write a prayer on your strip. This can be: A prayer request, Something you’re thankful for, A prayer for someone else, A short prayer to God (You can write words or draw a picture!) Take turns reading your prayer out loud, or keep it private—both are okay. Make it a link. Roll your paper into a loop and tape or staple the ends together. Connect the chain. Loop your prayer through the previous link before taping it closed, showing how our prayers are connected. Pray together. Once the chain is finished, say a short prayer together, thanking God for hearing every prayer in the chain. Display the prayer chain. Hang it somewhere visible (a wall, doorway, or fridge) as a reminder to keep praying for one another.
